Delta Ratchet Hoist Features

The Delta ratchet hoist is capable of handling loads in all directions, whether for lifting, pulling or tensioning. It is a manual lever hoist which uses a ratchet and pawl system to pull the load chain over the sprocket as the lever is cranked. A toggle switch is used to change the pull direction, and also has a neutral/free wheeling mode to enable easy chain through during set up without hindrance.

There are twin spring pawls which enable the chain to be pulled through in the up or down direction. Together with the friction disc brake system load safety is very good. Another good safety feature is the specially marked safety hooks; measurements can be taken before and after use to determine whether the hoist has been overloaded and caused the hooks to yield/ open up.

Other key features include precision machined components including the chain sprocket, shafts and gears which enhance the smooth operation. Roller bearings or bushes are used on gears and shafts and a chain leader and stripper with a guide plate.

The operation lever has a rubber grip for comfort and safety, and is an optimal length to minimise the physical effort required to crank the lever.

The Delta ratchet lever hoist complies with the machinery directive 2006/42/EC; it has been fully tested and comes with certification and an EC declaration of conformity.
